Verizon Galaxy Z Flip 4, Fold 4 getting January 2025 security update in the US

Samsung has released a new update with the January 2025 security patch for Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4 smartphones on the Verizon network carrier in the US. The company will expand this update to more countries in the coming days or weeks.

January 2025 security update for Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4 arrives on Verizon US with One UI builds F721USQS7GXLF and F936USQS7GXLF respectively. This update improves the overall security of these devices.

The Korean tech giant has rolled out the first security patch of the year 2025, which brings improvements to the security and stability of Galaxy devices. This update addresses over 50 vulnerabilities, including patches from both Google and Samsung.

Google fixes 5 critical and 24 high-level CVEs, with one CVE already resolved in earlier updates. Notably, two CVEs do not apply to Samsung devices. Samsung has also implemented 22 of its own security enhancements, focusing on security issues in several Samsung-specific services, including Sound Picker, Samsung Messages, Notification Manager, and Bootloader.

Samsung is currently testing the One UI 7 Beta update on its Galaxy S24 series. In addition, the company is reportedly internally testing One UI 7 builds for several Galaxy devices including Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4. However, there might be no plan for One UI 7 Beta expansion to older devices.
