Galaxy S25 Ultra S Pen Changes: Goodbye Bluetooth Features
Samsung’s cost-cutting measures reportedly ditch Bluetooth features from the Galaxy S25 Ultra S Pen. As we near the official Unpacked event, new insights have started to surface, with the latest suggesting a major downgrade for S Pen.
Leaker Ishan Agarwal revealed that the Galaxy S25 Ultra S Pen may lack Bluetooth features. The information emerged from retailer listings and probably aimed at improving the battery life as well as cost-cutting measures.
Without Bluetooth, the S Pen will drop some fan-favorite features like gestures and remote control. The company first discontinued the Galaxy Note lineup, and the S25 Ultra marks the end of two eras: boxy design and feature-rich S Pen.
Exclusive: S Pen on the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra will no longer feature Bluetooth according to retail sources!
Which means you will lose certain features like gestures & remote control.

S Pen Air Actions: Samsung’s stylus lets you take a photo with a single press, while a double press switches between the front and back cameras. The nifty device also allows you to use swipe gestures to change the photo modes in the camera.
In addition, the Bluetooth functionality unlocks remote controls to perform tasks such as Back, Home, Recent, and Smart Select. However, these fan-favorite features might not be seen in the S25 Ultra, taking it a step back in smartness.
highly doubt it will make more than a 15-20 minute of difference in terms of battery life even for those who use s pen regularly. pretty sure it’s a cost cutting measure as they realized barely anyone is taking out the s pen, leave alone using the remote

There are two key reasons behind this change.
- Samsung realized that the usage saturation of the S Pen is quite limited.
- Cost-cutting measure in the name of battery improvement of merely 15 minutes (if used).
Rather than dropping features, Samsung should make the S Pen an external accessory, like the S21 Ultra. People who love S Pen features would keep it in case, while the vacated area can be used for a bigger battery and new camera solutions.
