The fresh Android Auto update also introduces new features and expands support for more vehicles, including cars, motorcycles, and electric vehicles.
The update brings support for light electric vehicles, such as motorcycles and electric scooters. The update includes a new charging standard, LECCS, which makes it easier to use Android Auto with these vehicles. It also adds compatibility with charging systems like Tesla’s NACS protocol.
A brand that makes motorcycles and electric scooters, TVS, is now supported by Android Auto. It shows the update’s growing focus on light EVs.
In addition to light EVs, Android Auto 13.5 expands its vehicle support to include more car brands. It now includes Chinese manufacturers like Leapmotor and Geely, along with previously supported brands like Lucid, Hyundai, and Lincoln.
Google may soon include a feature that shows the car’s logo or avatar on the Android Auto screen. In addition, Android Auto is also testing the System management page, which could help users quickly diagnose and fix any issues.
