Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra may hold off on camera upgrades
Samsung is ready to launch the Galaxy S25 Ultra later this month, with improvements to its camera for advanced photography. While we’re waiting for the Galaxy S25 series, a new leak has revealed some details about next year’s Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra camera.
According to a well-known tipster, @Jukanlosreve, the camera on the Galaxy S26 Ultra will stay the same as the one on the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Tipster mentioned that as the camera of the iPhone 17 Pro series remains unchanged, the Galaxy S26 Ultra will also remain unchanged and use the same sensor.
It means that the camera setup on the Galaxy S26 Ultra might not change much compared to the S25 Ultra, but there could be some changes in performance or new features.
Aside from the camera, earlier leaks suggested that the Galaxy S26 series could be powered by the new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 2 processor. As we get closer to the launch of the Galaxy S25 series, more details about next year’s smartphones are starting to surface online.
In addition to the new phones, Samsung is working on One UI 8, which will be based on Android 16. This update will bring new features and improvements to Samsung phones. In 2025, Samsung might release the One UI 8 Beta program sooner than they did last year
So, while the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra will bring camera upgrades, it looks like the camera on the S26 Ultra might stay the same, with the same but optimized sensors. Stay tuned for more information.
