Galaxy S25 Ultra vs S24 Ultra: Slimmer, lighter and bigger
Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra is bigger yet slimmer and lighter than the S24 Ultra. The new flagship is all set to be unveiled later this month. Ahead of its official debut, the phone’s key detailed specs and official renders have been leaked.
The next Ultra will be the best-selling S25 model and Samsung is aiming for better sales than the S24 Ultra. Here, we explore the key changes in design (particularly in dimensions and weight) between the S25 Ultra and S24 Ultra.
S25 Ultra vs S24 Ultra – Dimensions & Weight
Samsung’s S25 Ultra reportedly measures 162.8 x 77.6 x 8.2mm and is expected to weigh 218 grams. The Galaxy S24 Ultra measures 162.3 x 79 x 8.6mm and weighs 233 grams (mmWave) / 232 grams (Sub6).
S25U vs S24 U – Dimensions {simplified (in mm}:
- Height – 162.8 / 162.3
- Width – 77.6 / 79.0
- Depth – 8.2 / 8.6
- Weight – 218 / 232
The details suggest that the S25 Ultra will be slightly taller and narrower than the S24 Ultra. Despite getting a slightly larger screen (6.8″ in S24U / 6.9″ in S25U), the Galaxy S25 Ultra is notably lighter and slimmer.
Samsung is utilizing enhanced Titanium material for the phone’s frame. It is considered even more durable than the one used in the S24 Ultra. The weight reduction is significant, which has required the engineers to do a lot of hard work.
The smartphone’s display area is also increased significantly, thanks to minimized bezels. The S25 Ultra features Samsung’s thinnest bezels and that symmetrical approach takes the overall appearance to a whole new level.
The latest renders also reveal a closer look at the new camera design of the S25 Ultra. The ring is not only thicker but incorporated with a smaller bottom ring. It gives the phone an appealing back panel look and a refined sensor design.
The details are quite promising to look at Samsung’s next-gen Ultra flagship. As the excitement intensifies, we don’t have to wait much for the official unveiling. We are all set to join Samsung at the Galaxy Unpacked 2025 on January 22!
