Galaxy S25 Ultra specifications leaked: Larger display, SD 8 Elite chip, 50MP Ultra wide and more
Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra will bring a major design upgrade at January 22’s Unpacked event, prior to this official release, its hype has reached an all-time high with new specifications leak.
S25 Ultra will look different than its predecessor thanks to those round corners and a large 6.9-inch display as revealed by Androidheadlines
It surpasses 6.8 inches in the S24 Ultra. However, the rest of the display specs will be identical including WQHD (3120 x 1440) resolution with adaptive 1-120Hz refresh rate. Meanwhile, those flat frames are contributing to an improved viewing experience.
The display shape and the overall look will be the highlight of this year’s ultra model. Therefore, the difference between the S25U and S24U becomes obvious at first glance.
The S25 Ultra specs sheet mentioned the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. Official details on this processor suggest a major performance leap over Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. It has improved CPU, GPU, and NPU, and its new capabilities can be seen on Geekbench results.
The processor will couple with a 12GB RAM in the base variant and it reported 16GB for 512GB and 1TB for selected markets.
Battery won’t be getting any upgrade and the S25U will equip 5,000 mAh battery with 45W fast charging support. The phone will also support wireless and reverse charging. It would have been better if this flagship increased to a 5,500 mAh capacity.

The company has planned to keep the main camera at 200 megapixels, which may receive a few optimizations thanks to the improved AI processing. It will also retain a 50MP periscope camera with 5X optical zoom and a 10MP telephoto module with 3 times optical zoom.
This year, we may see an upgrade in the Ultra Wide angle unit and take it to a whopping 50MP. Thus creating a 200 + 50 + 50 + 10 combination in that rear camera system. In the meantime, the device will continue a 12MP selfie camera on the front capable of shooting 4k videos.
Other features of the device confirm faster connectivity with Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.3. The phone will run One UI 7 based on Android 15 with a redesigned user interface and better animations.
Based on leaked specifications, the Galaxy S25 Ultra will measure 162.8mm in height, 77.6mm in width, and 8.2mm in depth. It means, the phone has almost equal height as the predecessor but with a slim body.
