Galaxy S24 family grabs January 2025 update in the US (non-One UI 7 Beta)

Samsung Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 Plus, and Galaxy S24 Ultra smartphones are getting Android 14 based January 2025 security update in the US, following Korea. The update is currently rolling out for locked models of the Galaxy S24 series on the T-Mobile network carrier.
January 2025 security update is now available for Galaxy S24 users who are not participating in the One UI 7 Beta program. Notably, Beta users have already received this patch through the One UI 7 Beta 3 update.
The fresh security update improves system security and stability to provide a better Galaxy experience by fixing several issues encountered in previous software. It makes your Galaxy device more reliable, secure, and stable.
Users of the Samsung Galaxy S24 series are receiving the January 2025 security update in the US via One UI build versions given below.
- S921USQS4AXL3 – Galaxy S24
- S926USQS4AXL3 – Galaxy S24 Plus
- S928USQS4AXL3 – Galaxy S24 Ultra
The installation package size of this update is around 500 MB. You can install the update via Settings >> Software Updates >> Download and install.
Notably, Samsung’s January 2025 security patch brings fixes for over 50 vulnerabilities, including 5 critical and 24 high-level CVEs from Google. Two of CVEs do not affect Samsung devices. Additionally, Samsung addresses 22 SVEs, focusing on Sound Picker, Samsung Messages, Notification Manager, and Bootloader.
