Samsung Galaxy S25 series may not launch with the One UI 7.1. The company may change its software strategy for flagship phones. From the very beginning, there has been a new x.1 version of One UI with the new Galaxy S launch.

Tipster chunvn8888 claims that the Samsung Galaxy S25 series may skip One UI 7.1 at launch. Instead, the upcoming flagship models may debut with the One UI 7.0 operating system, which is available in Beta on the Galaxy S24 series.

It would be a major change in software strategy if the rumor is accurate. The source also claims that the flagships would run the One UI 7.0 for one to two months. Genuine developments regarding the One UI 7.1 would surface later.

Samsung is actively developing the One UI 7 for the Galaxy S25 series. The company’s software server has listed the test builds for the upcoming phones. However, it’s uncertain whether the builds marked One UI 7.1 or One UI 7.0.

It is said that the One UI 7.1 is equipped with several new Galaxy AI features. Samsung also has some features hidden behind the curtains, which aren’t leaked yet. It would be an Apple-like strategy to gradually push new AI features.

When can we expect One UI 7.1?

If One UI 7.1 skips launch with the Galaxy S25 series, Samsung might make it official within a quarter as the foldable are scheduled for the third quarter. One UI 7.1’s debut will take place with the Galaxy S25 Slim in the second quarter.

The company hasn’t yet officially revealed its software strategy for the S25 series. The new flagships would indeed debut unseen AI innovations. The Unpacked is all set to land on January 22, where Samsung will unveil the next frontiers!
