New Galaxy S25 Ultra Leak Debunks Claims of 3000nits Display
Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra will be the most premium Galaxy S series phone, which is set to launch on January 22, 2025. Earlier reports said the Galaxy S25 Ultra would have a display with a 3000nits peak brightness, but a new leak debunks this claim, suggesting a 2600nits display instead.
Well-known tipster @Roland Quandt has shared some details about the Galaxy S25 Ultra. According to the leak, the phone will come with a Dynamic LTPO AMOLED 2X display that offers a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, and 2600nits of peak brightness.
Earlier, in December 2024, some leaks hinted the Galaxy S25 Ultra would have a display with 3000nits of brightness, but the new leak says that’s not true. It means the upcoming S series phone could have the same peak brightness as the Galaxy S24 Ultra, which was released earlier in 2024.
Aside from this, the tipster also suggests that the Galaxy S25 Ultra will be available in 12GB and 16GB RAM options, with storage of up to 1TB. Its dimensions are expected to be 162.8 x 77.6 x 8.2 mm, and it will weigh 219g. This means the Galaxy S25 Ultra will have a thinner design.
For charging, the Galaxy S25 Ultra will support 45W wired charging and 25W wireless charging using Qi2 technology.
Samsung recently confirmed that it will release a phone with Qi2 wireless charging this year. The Galaxy S25 series will be a high-end model and Qi2 will help charge the phone faster wirelessly.
