Samsung refining One UI 7 Now Bar, missing features to return in Stable update
Samsung tweaked the Now Bar settings page with the One UI 7 Beta 3 update. The build has removed some elements from the Settings page. Now, Samsung clarified through the moderator that the missing Now Bar features would return in the Stable One UI 7 update.
According to the info, Samsung has “intentionally removed” some Now Bar elements with One UI 7 Beta 3. The community moderator revealed that the work to refine Now Bar is underway and users can expect more changes till the official release.
Samsung made some Now Bar features missing in the third One UI 7 Beta, like Maps and Voice Recorder. The moderator responded that these elements are made hidden, suggesting a potential comeback with the future Betas or Stable version.
These Now Bars are removed from the settings
- Voice recorder
- Health
- Google maps
- Samsung Notes
- Bixby
Do note that Now Bar elements are still functional, however, the option to enable/disable them is made hidden.
Simply put, Samsung has acknowledged that some Now Bar elements are not gone forever but are undergoing adjustments. The One UI Beta Team is aiming to polish them further before they’re fully available to users.
In the One UI 7 Beta 3, Now Bar settings listed only five apps and services including:
- Interpreter
- Clock
- Emergency sharing
- Media player
- Current mode
As far as the moderator’s response is concerned, the removed elements are getting refined as per user feedback and the company plans to bring these features back in the official release after the development team made improvements.
Well, the final version of the One UI 7 isn’t too far now. Samsung has recently announced the Galaxy Unpacked, to be held on January 22, 2025. The company is highly likely to introduce the official version and rollout schedule.
