One UI 7 Beta Quick settings Panel Left Side

Samsung has started rolling out the third One UI 7 Beta to the Galaxy S24 series. The latest update comes with several bug fixes and improvements as well as a handful of UI tweaks. Let’s explore what’s new in the One UI 7 Beta 3 Changelog.

The third One UI 7 Beta brings a new version of the One UI Home app, bumping the version from 16.0.00.203 to 16.0.03.21. The latest iteration doesn’t include the Home Up plugin integration that Samsung promised last week.

Quick Settings panel on left side

Samsung’s latest One UI Beta version allows you to change the Quick Panel settings through the “Quick Panel on the left side” slider, bringing the Notification Panel to the right.

Home screen settings UI

Samsung has added a new “App and widgets style” section within the home screen Settings. It replaces the existing user interface that retained everything from the One UI 6.1.

Now Bar Settings tweaks

The third One UI 7 Beta brought a handful of new UI and functional changes to Now Bar. The section header now features a large image focussing on the viewfinder where the Now Bar runs.

“Check the information you need right now and start essential features without unlocking your phone” – the description reads.

Our team found a new “Live notifications” label for the app and services management, allowing you to enable/disable via switches. New Now Bar settings listed only five apps and services including:

  1. Interpreter
  2. Clock
  3. Emergency sharing
  4. Media player
  5. Current mode

These Now Bars are removed from the settings

  • Voice recorder
  • Health
  • Google maps
  • Samsung Notes
  • Bixby

Despite removal, these Now Bar functions still working, but you can’t disable them now.

New Battery Indicator Shape

The status bar battery indicator shape is also refined in the latest Beta update. The new design includes a more streamlined shape, containing reduced width and increased height over the previous shape of the indicator.

Dynamic Charging Animation

The Beta 3 changelog doesn’t mention UI tweaks but our team has spotted that the latest One UI 7 update has improved the charging animation by adding blue and cyan gradient colors in the indicator’s unlocked state.

As mentioned in the changelog, the ZXLJ build of One UI 7 comes with improved vertical scrolling in the app drawer. Three functions of Game Booster are also enhanced including screen playback, FPS setting name and max value, and default scanning rate setting.

The changelog highlights UI tweaks as fixes on the Galaxy S24 series. Additional improvements include lock screen customization improvements, shortcut icon issue fixes, Routine+ module refinements for the volume key, and Edge Panel tools.
