One UI 7 Beta 3 bulks up the battery icon

One UI 7 has redesigned the battery icon with horizontal placement and new animation elements providing a whole new look to this status bar interface. However, the One UI 7 Beta 3 has improved the battery icon with new optimizations.

In One UI 6, the battery icon used to sit vertically with angles all around and there were no dynamic expressions to the UI. However, One UI 7 enhances the battery indicator elements with increased visibility and new animations.

These can be seen when the phone is charging, the battery saver is enabled, or at low power.

Now, the One UI 7 beta 3 has polished this battery icon, providing more bulkier look as a whole. The image below shows a comparison between the old and new UI. The icon introduced with the previous beta is a wide, pill-like horizontal shape.

The latest beta has reduced the width and increased the height, thus creating a more balanced rectangle with round sides. This change also helps to show bigger battery percentage text than before. However, the new icon has slightly more height than the WiFi and network icons.

Samsung has made this change through all battery states and taking smart space while improving visiblity. We’ll have to wait for future software releases with new changes.
