AI for All: Samsung Unveils AI-Powered Hyper-Personalized Home at CES 2025
At CES 2025, Samsung is presenting a new vision for a smart home powered by AI. With Home AI, Samsung focuses on creating personalized living spaces under the theme “AI for All” to make everyday life easier, safer, and more efficient.
Samsung Home AI uses its SmartThings platform to connect all devices in the home to make them work together. This means everything, from lights to appliances to security systems, can be controlled and customized with the help of AI.
At the exhibition hall in Las Vegas, USA, Samsung presents how AI can optimize various aspects of home life, from energy efficiency to health, security, and more.
Advanced Security for Samsung Devices
Security is a top priority for Samsung. With Samsung Knox Matrix, a blockchain-based security system, all connected devices in the home check each other’s safety. The system monitors device security status and alerts users if any threats are detected. Samsung has also earned the highest “Diamond” rating in IoT security to ensure that all connected devices are safe and secure.
Smart Home for Every Need
Samsung has introduced different types of smart homes to fit various family needs. The “Efficient Home” helps save energy and time. Devices like the Bespoke AI Combo washer/dryer automatically set the right washing and drying cycles based on the clothes, and the Bespoke AI Steam mop can clean floors on its own.
Samsung also offers a “Health-Caring Home”, which tracks things like sleep patterns and exercise habits. With the help of Samsung Health, users can monitor their wellness and get tips for improving their health based on AI data. This even helps with family care, such as detecting if an elderly person has fallen and sending alerts to family members.
SmartThings Expanding Beyond Homes
Samsung’s AI isn’t just limited to home. It extends to cars, ships, and even business spaces. For instance, you can control your home’s devices from your car, and businesses can use SmartThings to manage energy use and improve efficiency.
Moreover, SmartThings has been supported by the ‘autonomous navigation ship (Shift-Auto)’ currently under development by Samsung Heavy Industries. It allows remote monitoring and control of devices on board the ship.
Accessibility Technology
Samsung also focuses on making its technology accessible to everyone. The company has developed a feature called “audible subtitles”, which reads subtitles aloud for people with visual impairments.
Additionally, Samsung Solve for Tomorrow, a global competition, encourages young people to create solutions to help their communities.
Harman Ready Vision QVUE is a reflective display using Neo QLED. It offers brighter, clearer images with 5K nits brightness.
