Samsung Galaxy S25 series unveiling

2025 has begun and Samsung is preparing to kick start the new year with a mega event. The company may hold this year’s first Unpacked event later this month. As the anticipation rises, Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2025 will have plenty to look at.

Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2025 – What to Expect?

Samsung is expected to organize an Unpacked event on January 22, 2025. The venue is most likely to be San Jose, the same as the Galaxy S24 series. The company will launch new hardware products and software advancements at the event.

Here’s what to expect:

Galaxy S25 Series

Samsung’s new Galaxy S25 series will take center stage at the Unpacked 2025. The lineup will bring three flagship phones including the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus, and Galaxy S25 Ultra.

The new flagships will bring a refined design, a new Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, Android 15-based One UI 7.1, upgraded Galaxy AI features, improved screens, and better user experiences.

One UI 7 (Rollout Schedule)

At SDC, Samsung announced the final version of the One UI 7 software will launch with the new Galaxy S series. The Beta Program was started on the Galaxy S24 series in early December and we expect the release roadmap may drop at Unpacked.

The Korean tech giant is keeping the Beta Program limited to the Galaxy S24 series. There’s no development of Beta builds for the Galaxy S23 and S22 series. These devices will directly receive a Stable update in Wave I.

The new One UI 7 introduces a fresh new UI consisting of curves, shapes, and colors. The blur engine takes user experiences to a whole new level and you won’t stop praising the AI-powered Now Bar on your Galaxy’s lock screen.

Galaxy S25 Slim

Samsung may tease the Galaxy S25 Slim at this month’s Unpacked event. The company is reportedly working on a thinner Galaxy S25 Plus. It is expected to be released in the second or third quarter of the year.

The S25 Slim could be 6.60mm thin, while the iPhone 17 Air would reach 6.25mm thinness. Well, this marginal difference opens pro-grade features such as a 200MP main camera, a 3.5x Telephoto sensor, and a large battery of around 4700mAh.

Galaxy XR Headset, Glasses

Last month, Samsung officially unveiled the Project Moohan XR headset. The product will be made available for purchase later this year. The company may also showcase a prototype of XR smart glasses to rival Meta’s AR products.

Samsung’s XR products are being developed in collaboration with Qualcomm and Google. The trio is aiming to rival Apple’s Vision Pro in the global market. Qualcomm is providing the chipset, while Google crafting the Android XR operating system.

Galaxy Ring 2

Galaxy Ring is set to upgrade the lineup with two additional larger sizes this year. Samsung is aiming to tease the second-gen Galaxy Ring at the Unpacked event, meanwhile, any supporting evidence hasn’t surfaced online so far.
