One UI 7 Camera Assistant lets you save videos directly to external storage
Samsung Camera Assistant is a module powered by the Good Lock app, which enhances the camera experience on Galaxy devices. This app allows users to customize various camera settings, such as adding a 2x zoom button, increasing the shutter speed, and adjusting other features of the primary camera. In One UI 7, Samsung has introduced new features to the Camera Assistant app to make it even more useful for users.
A highly requested feature that Samsung recently confirmed is the ability to save videos directly to external storage. With the One UI 7 update, videos will now be automatically saved to any external storage device connected to the Galaxy device via its USB-C port. This new function is helpful if you need more space for videos and want to free up your phone’s memory.
Currently, One UI 7 Beta is available only for the Galaxy S24 series. Notably, the Samsung Camera Assistant app is supported on One UI 7 Beta devices. So, users can try out Camera Assistant features on their beta testing devices.
Once the update is officially released, the Camera Assistant app will be available on all eligible Samsung smartphones. Last year, Samsung extended the app’s support to select mid-range Galaxy A and M series devices in addition to the flagship phones. However, some features may not be available on all models due to differences in hardware.
Samsung Camera Assistant app provides users with more control over their camera settings to make it easier to capture the perfect shot or video. Keep an eye out for further updates, as more features are coming with the release of Good Lock 2025.
