Android Auto 13.5

Polestar 2 owners can now enjoy wired Android Auto with the latest software update. This is one of the most highly requested features among electric vehicle drivers. This new functionality comes alongside the car’s built-in Android Automotive OS to offer users more flexibility.

The new Polestar 2 update brings wired Android Auto alongside the built-in Android Automotive OS. Wired Android Auto allows drivers to connect their Android phones to the car via a USB cable.

Once connected, the car’s screen will automatically show the phone’s interface to give access to apps like maps, music, calls, and more. You can control these features hands-free to make driving safer and more convenient. If you prefer the native Android Automotive system, you can easily switch back to it anytime.

The wired Android Auto is simple to use. No complicated setup is needed, just plug your phone into the car using a USB cable, and it’s ready to go. This makes it much easier for drivers who want quick access to their phone features without dealing with wireless connection issues.

This update is available for Polestar 2 vehicles from 2021 and newer. It will be available through over-the-air (OTA) updates, but you can also get the update at a service appointment if you prefer.

By adding both Android Auto and CarPlay, Polestar is ensuring that drivers have the latest technology at their fingertips. Whether you prefer Android or Apple, Polestar 2 now offers more options for a smoother driving experience.
