December 2024 security update hits 3-year old Samsung budget phone
Ahead of several latest Galaxy devices, Samsung has started releasing the December 2024 security update for the Galaxy M21 (2021) smartphone. This update improves system security and stability to enhance the overall performance of the device.
December 2024 security update for Samsung Galaxy M21 smartphone arrives with One UI build version M215GDDS6CXK1. Users will have to download around 200MB package to install the update.
Launched in 2021, the Samsung Galaxy M21 (2021) smartphone is a low-budget smartphone, which comes pre-installed with Android 11-based One UI 3.1. Now, the device runs on One UI 5.1 based on Android 13.
The fresh Android security patch fixes over 45 issues mainly related to Theme Center, Galaxy Watch Bluetooth functionality, SmartSwitch, and Dex Mode. The company is dispatching the latest software update with system security improvements to keep your files and data safe on your phone.
Notably, the December 2024 patch fixes 6 critical and 28 high-level issues from Google. It also resolves one issue that was previously addressed and another that is not relevant to Samsung devices. In addition, Samsung has patched 2 high-level vulnerabilities in its semiconductor products and provided 8 SVE patches.
