Samsung Galaxy S23 series ineligible for One UI 7 Beta
Samsung seems to have no plans to expand One UI 7 Beta to older devices like the Galaxy S23 series. The Galaxy S24 series joined the Beta Program earlier this month and Beta participants are waiting for the third beta update.
X user FamilyTaes shared a conversation with Samsung experts on update plans. It seems the One UI 7 Beta will not be available for the Galaxy S23 series and Samsung will likely open the Stable update’s rollout in February 2025.
One UI Beta is an opportunity to experience the latest features ahead of the official release. In previous years, Samsung has launched the Beta activity for newer and older flagship lineups as well as select mid-range and budget phones.
Things are quite different this year. The late arrival of Samsung’s initial One UI 7 Beta has ruined the expansion dreams of older models. The stable rollout has also been significantly hindered, marking a four-month delay.
Nope, no beta.

The One UI 7 introduces major design changes, elegant colors, and pleasing design language. Now Bar is an intelligent AI-powered functionality that offers real-time notifications and quick controls, taking usability to new heights.
Samsung will be busy preparing for the Galaxy Unpacked event. The Galaxy S25 series’ unveiling is likely to take place later next month in the US. Early February will also be a crucial timeframe as the global release would start by mid-February.
Expect One UI 7 rollout in late February 2025.
