Android Auto 13.4 update brings a new design for the music player along with some other improvements. This update has been rolling out over the past week and make changes to the interface including a cleaner look and new features for audio apps like Spotify and Apple Music.

The fresh Android Auto version revamps its music player. Previously, the album artwork and the track progress bar shared space at the top of the screen. In the new design, the album art is now located on the left side to provide more space on the track progress bar.

In addition, the progress bar now shows the song title, artist, and time, with slightly smaller text to fit everything neatly. Below the progress bar, the player controls have been adjusted to take up the full width of the display.

This redesign makes the layout similar across all music apps. Notably, the layout is simple and easy to understand, which helps drivers stay focused on the road along with easy navigation through the music player.

Along with the music player changes, Android Auto 13.4 also includes an updated font and colors based on Google’s Material You design. These changes help give the interface a more modern, unified look.
