Samsung One UI 7 might bring separate Animated Wallpaper feature
Samsung might consider bringing a separate animated wallpaper feature for the home screen and lock screen with One UI 7. As the company actively listens to users, reasonable feature requests continue to appear in the community forum.
Presently, if you set an animated wallpaper, the One UI allows you to either make it home screen wallpaper or both the home and lock screens together. Simply put, the wallpaper system lacks a tool for separating walls for the home and lock.
Users also try setting animated wallpaper on both the home and lock screens. Later, they picked a different animated wall for the home screen from the given option. This operation simply resets the pre-applied wallpaper on the lock screen.
This situation leaves users with two options:
- Set the same animated wallpaper for both the lock screen and home screen.
- Set no animated wallpaper on the lock screen.
This limitation is frustrating some One UI 7 users as they demand a new feature to set separate animated wallpaper for the home screen and lock screen. Interstingly, Samsung acknowledged the feature request through the Community moderator.

With the acknowledgment, the Korean tech giant indeed dropped a hint signaling the possibility of deployment. However, it remains to be seen whether the change implies the software’s goals and functionality.
