Samsung has significantly redesigned the Quick Panel in One UI 7. The redesign also comes with heavy customization features that even include two different styles for the section, adding extra convenience to Galaxy users.

Samsung’s new Quick Panel in One UI 7 adopts new rounded elements and shapes. The addition of vibrant colors and a powerful blur engine is the key highlight.

The section can be used in two different styles:

Quick Panel settings let you alter the design of this particular section. You can also bring back the legacy style that includes Quick Settings and Notification list together.

Both styles bring all the bells and whistles introduced in One UI 7. This approach shows Samsung’s commitment to offering a universally acceptable user experience in its latest software.

In the “Separate” mode, you need to swipe down from the top right corner of the screen to open the quick settings panel. Swipe down from anywhere else on the top of the screen to open the notification panel.

On the flip side, keeping the “Together” brings back the old design with new aesthetics. You can now view notifications and collapsed quick settings together. To view the full quick settings panel, swipe down one more time.

I observed that the Separate mode has room for usability improvements. This mode made it harder to access the Quick Panel single-handedly.

Swipe down from any area triggers the Notification Panel, and you have no other option but to stretch your thumb to the top right corner of the screen.

While the Separate option unlocks the iOS-like experience, the Together toggle keeps the legacy alive. The software is currently in Beta state, and the general rollout is expected to start in mid-February after unveiling in late January.
