Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra deal

T-Mobile kicks off Satellite Messaging Beta for Samsung Galaxy S24 series and Galaxy Z Fold 6 in the US. Owners of the latest Samsung phones on the T-Mobile network started seeing the new Satellite Networks feature.

As per the info (via SamMobile), T-Mobile users who applied to test the ‘T-Mobile Starlink‘ service have started seeing the new ‘Satellite Networks’ in the Settings. The service offering is limited to US users on T-Mobile’s (postpaid line) network.

T-Mobile seems to have started the Beta Program for its Satellite Networks service. Back in August, the carrier inked a deal with SpaceX to offer satellite connectivity features through the Starlink platform.

The T-Mobile Starlink service offers cell phone connectivity everywhere using Starlink and a constellation of low-earth orbit (LEO) satellites. It is expected to be available on the Beta channel on a broader scale soon.

To access this feature, you need to navigate to Settings » Connections » Satelite Networks. You may have got it if pre-applied for the T-Mobile Starlink service. You will be able to send and receive text messages through satellites.

To be noted, it is not a general feature offered by Samsung. It’s a carrier-specific offering that will be available for a particular category of users. The description suggests satellite connectivity works best in the clear sky when you’re out of cellular connectivity.

Samsung is expected to equip the Galaxy S25 series with Satellite Connectivity features. The Galaxy S24 series and Z Fold 6 were rumored to introduce satellite messaging, but the feature is missing on the devices.
