Samsung Galaxy S23 series to skip One UI 7 Beta Program
Samsung‘s One UI 7 Beta Program has been opened for the Galaxy S24 series, introducing several new features and enhancements before the official release. Users of other Samsung flagships, including the Galaxy S23 series, are hoping to participate in the beta program to experience new features. However, it seems that the Galaxy S23 series will not get access to the One UI 7 beta program.
A reliable tipster, @Tarunvats, has spotted a new One UI 7 internal test build, indicating that Samsung is preparing the next major update for the Galaxy S23 series. However, there’s a catch.
The internal build for the Galaxy S23 has been updated from version DXL6 to DXLE, and this new build is very similar to the One UI 7 beta version for the Galaxy S24 (ZXLE). The only difference is the letter “Z” in the Galaxy S24’s build, indicating a beta version.
The new spotted build suggests that Samsung will not release a beta for the Galaxy S23 series. Instead, Samsung will reportedly roll out the stable version of One UI 7 as internal testing is underway.
Another tipster recently shared similar information, claiming that Samsung will not release the One UI 7 Beta for the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S22, Galaxy S21, and A-series devices. The delayed launch of the beta program and the upcoming Galaxy S25 unveiling in January are the main reasons.
Samsung will officially release the stable One UI 7 update with the Galaxy S25 series launch in early 2024. Afterward, the update will likely be expanded to other Galaxy devices. Stay tuned.
