More Galaxy A55 users getting December 2024 security update

Samsung rolled out the December 2024 security update for the Galaxy A55 smartphone in Europe and the company is now expanding it to more countries including India. The update improves system security and stability to provide a better experience.

Users of the Galaxy A55 are getting a December 2024 security patch in India with One UI build version A556EXXU6AXL3. The installation package size of the update is around 400 MB. The company will soon make this update available for all A55 models.

December 2024 security patch fixes over 45 issues including high-level CVEs from Google and SVEs of Samsung. It mainly improves Theme Center, Galaxy Watch Bluetooth functionality, SmartSwitch, and Dex Mode.

To check and install software updates manually, head toward your phone’s Settings. At the bottom, you will get the Software Update section, simply open it. Inside the submenu, you need to hit the Download and Install button if your Galaxy fetches a new OTA.

Notably, some Galaxy A55 users are experiencing overheating issues after installing the December 2024 security patch. Currently, only a few users have reported this problem, and it’s unclear whether it’s widespread or limited to specific models or regions.
