Samsung might tease Galaxy Ring 2, XR Glasses at S25’s Unpacked
Samsung could unveil the Galaxy Ring 2 and Galaxy AR Smart Glasses with the Galaxy S25 series. The company is reportedly planning to tease these products ahead of their potential availability timeline, which could be Q2 or H2.
The Galaxy S25 series will be launched at the Unpacked event. Besides the Galaxy Ring 2 and AR Smart Glasses, Samsung might also release the first teaser of the Galaxy S25 Slim during the Unpacked event on January 22 next year.
Digitimes report suggests the Galaxy Ring 2 teaser at the Galaxy Unpacked event. Meanwhile, Samsung is also preparing to release two larger sizes of the first-generation Galaxy Ring, which was recently certified by an authority.
A Korean source also stated that the Galaxy Ring 2 will launch earlier than expected. The next-gen Galaxy Ring could bring eleven sizes from the initial release. The Galaxy Ring is currently available in nine size variants from 5 to 13.
The Galaxy Ring 2 would offer more accurate health data sensors and improved AI features, with a battery life anticipated to exceed seven days. The sensors will also be updated to improve the accuracy of health data measurements.
Samsung has already revealed the XR Headset called Project Moohan. Meanwhile, the Unpacked may also shed light on AR Smart Glasses. The glasses are said to be launched before the XR headset, targeting the market dominated by Meta.
The smart glasses could resemble conventional eyewear with a weight of approx 50 grams. Samsung is developing the XR Glasses in collaboration with Qualcomm and Google. They are set to feature advanced chips and the new AI model, Gemini.
