Samsung Galaxy S21 FE gets December 2024 security update
Samsung has pushed a new update for the Galaxy S21 FE 5G smartphone, which brings the December 2024 security patch to improve system security and stability. The update is rolling out for both Snapdragon and Exynos variants of this smartphone.
December 2024 security update is available for Samsung Galaxy S21 FE models on Verizon network carrier in the US. The company will expand the update to more countries soon. Users can check the update via One UI build versions given below:
- Galaxy S21 FE (Exynos) – G990USQSEGXK3
- Galaxy S21 FE (Snapdragon) – G990U2SQSCGXK3
The fresh update makes the app more secure, stable, and reliable by fixing a bunch of issues that users encountered in previous firmware. It provides a smoother performance to Galaxy users.
December 2024 Samsung security patch fixes over 45 vulnerabilities, including 6 critical and 28 high-level issues from Google. Samsung has patched two 2 high-level vulnerabilities in its semiconductor products and provided 8 SVE patches covering the Theme Center, Galaxy Watch Bluetooth, SmartSwitch, and Dex Mode.
To check the update, you just need to navigate to the device’s Settings, then a Software update, and Download and install. If you have received the update, install it now for enhanced features. It makes your device ready for the next update.
Aside from this, Samsung recently spotted One UI 7 internal testing build for the Galaxy S21 FE smartphone, which indicates that the company is preparing this major update for this phone.
Moreover, the Galaxy S21 FE smartphone also appeared on Geekbench with Android 15 and One UI 7. The phone scored 1164 points in single-core and 3362 points in multi-core performance.
