Samsung One UI 7 Quick Settings with Notification Panel

Samsung One UI 7 introduces a significantly redesigned Quick Settings and Notification Panel. The newly dropped UI is widely appreciated by Galaxy users. However, Samsung added an option to unify Quick Settings and Notification Panel in One UI 7.

With the option to unify the UIs, Samsung’s latest software allows users to opt for the legacy design. Despite combining both sections, Galaxy users experience the same appealing design with rounded shapes, curves, and dynamic colors.

Quick Comparison

Separate:

  • When “Separate” is in use, the Quick Settings and Notification Panel acts independently. Swipe-down triggers the Notification Panel, while the same operation from the top-right edge of the screen activates the Quick Panel.

Together:

  • The “Together” option brings back Samsung’s legacy Quick and Notification Panel design. A single swipe-down gesture opens the priority Quick Settings card and Notifications list in a minimized appearance.

Both sections ensure the elegant design language. The blur engine also works fine, however, the transition effects while expanding Quick Panel may not be as smooth as when separated.

So if you want to go back to the old style, One UI 7 has the option to help.

Unified Quick Panel Customization:

Samsung included additional customization tools for the unified Quick and Notification Panel. You can simply expand the sections and hit the “pencil” to access personalization tools.

Toggle Arrangement:

You get the option to adjust toggle placement within the Panel Settings section. The Quick Panel demo brings an Edit button that takes you to the toggle adjustment area.

Here, you can alter the placement of priority toggles of the quick panel. The UI is separated with a dark gradient box, indicating that these toggles will be accessible in the extended view.

The buttons to Reset and Done are now placed at the top area on the screen. It is accessible at the bottom part of the One UI 6.1, making it easier to apply placement changes.

Additional Quick Tools:

You will have Brightness Slider, Device Control and Media output toggles next to the Quick Settings. These components also offer some options to further refine the usability of your Galaxy.

The hamburger icon attached to the brightness slider expands additional settings allowing you to make the brightness slider appear with Quick Settings or within Quick Panel.

The keys of Device Control and Media Output can also be removed from the Quick Settings Panel or appear only when the Quick Panel collapses.

Samsung also brings a Contact Us button in the customization section. Pressing the button simply redirects to the Samsung Members app’s Contact Us page to reach out to Samsung support.

How to bring Quick Settings and Notification Panel “Together”

Expand the Quick Panel in One UI 7, and press the “pencil” icon to edit the user interface. Here, you get a new menu to manage “Notification and quick settings view.”

Separate and Together are the two options available in the software. You need to toggle Together to bring the old-style unified Notification Panel and Quick Settings.
