Samsung Galaxy A56 5G has been certified by Bluetooth SIG ahead of launch. The unannounced device appeared on the database with model number SM-A566B_DS, suggesting an imminent launch on the horizon.

The device has previously appeared on Geekbench and 3C. Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy A56 5G around March 2025. This unveiling would follow the release of the Galaxy S25 series, expected in early February.

While Bluetooth SIG certification has nothing exciting info about the device, the Geekbench listing revealed its performance capabilities. The Galaxy A56 5G uses Samsung’s Exynos 1580 chip (S5E8855) and scored points as follows:

  • 1,341 points in single-core
  • 3,836 points in multi-core

The Galaxy A56’s Exynos chip is said to feature an Octa-core setup, carrying one Cortex A720 prime core at 2.91GHz, three Cortex A720 performance cores at 2.60GHz, four Cortex A520 efficiency cores at 1.95GHz, and Xclipse 540 GPU.

Besides, Samsung plans to fuel the A56 5G with 8GB of RAM. It’s a decent configuration at the mid-range price point. You can expect a seamless multitasking experience and reliable processing of tasks in everyday usage.

A notable upgrade of 45W charging support is rumored to be introduced. The Galaxy A55 supports up to 25W charging which would improve by 20W in its successor. Meanwhile, the battery capacity could remain the same, 5000mAh.

Design

Last heard, the Galaxy A56 5G could come with a design refresh. The phone will adopt a vertical camera island with solid Black paint. LED flash will be out of the camera island to maintain the signature design philosophy with a tweak.

Samsung’s Key Island will also be refined on the next Galaxy A smartphones. The thickness of bezels could also be reduced to enhance the appearance, however, you would need to compromise with a slightly thicker chin.
