Samsung to unveil Galaxy S25 Ultra in San Jose, US
Samsung is expected to hold the Galaxy Unpacked event on January 22, 2025. A new report reveals the potential Unpacked event venue in the US where Samsung will unveil the Galaxy S25 series smartphones.
According to ETNews, Samsung will launch the Galaxy S25 series on January 22 in San Jose, US. Previously, San Francisco was rumored to be the Unpacked venue, which apparently untrue as per the latest revelation.
Korea’s FNNews revealed the event may be held in San Francisco. It was not finalized, by the way, but in consideration for the top spot. Meanwhile, Samsung seems to be picking the same location as this year’s Galaxy S24 event.
The focus is on implementing AI performance without making significant changes to the design. However, the rounded corner design, previously used for the standard and Plus models, has been extended to the Ultra.
All three models are equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. Samsung initially planned to use Exynos 2500 for the Galaxy S25 and S25+ but due to yield issues, they shifted to fully adopting the Snapdragon 8 Elite.
Samsung is planning to aggressively retain its AI Phone lead. The Galaxy S24 series is a big hit thanks to its exceptional Galaxy AI capabilities. Now, the Galaxy S25 series is planned to be highlighted even on a larger scale than the S24.
The upcoming flagship lineup includes Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra. Pre-reservation may start anytime in January, and pre-orders will kick off at Unpacked. We expect the release to start in the first week of February next year.
At Unpacked, the Korean tech giant may also showcase the Galaxy XR headset (Project Moohan). Two new larger sizes (14 and 15) of the Galaxy Ring are also said to be released alongside the Galaxy S25 series next month.
