Samsung QIC will focus on tackling product quality issues in 2025. The company is preparing to launch the Quality Innovation Committee. The first meeting will be held on December 31st, and many Samsung executives will attend.

The QIC is said to be part of Samsung Electronics’ Device Experience (DX) division. Han Jong-hee, the Vice Chairman and head of Samsung’s DX Division, will chair the Quality Innovation Committee next week.

Samsung QIC to tackle product quality issues

PulseNews report reveals that Samsung’s Han Jong-hee called for the participation of key executives from the Mobile eXperience (MX), Visual Display (VD), and Digital Appliances (DA) divisions in the December 31st meeting.

Some key products released this year faced criticism over quality concerns. The issue was at worst with Samsung’s Galaxy Buds 3 Pro. The company has also delayed shipments to address quality concerns in the initial batch of products.

Beyond that, the recent organizational restructuring follows criticisms that Samsung’s rapid development cycle left insufficient room for comprehensive quality assurance. The company doesn’t want to repeat it with the next year’s products.

Han emphasized that “securing technology and quality for customers is the foundation of competitiveness,” urging all employees to fully commit to bolstering Samsung’s quality competitiveness.

Simply put, Samsung’s QIC will serve as a platform for each division to report pressing issues. This way, the company’s upcoming products will ensure standards, leaving no room for quality issues and consumer disappointments.

Industry experts analyze Han’s approach as a determination to leave no aspect – development, production, or quality – unchecked. Also, the sudden QIC launch and immediate meeting reflect Samsung’s intention to align quality checks.

An industry insider said, “Product development, quality assurance, and production usually involve seamless collaboration. With this committee, Samsung Electronics signals its dedication to achieving impeccable product quality.”
