Samsung One UI 7 has the most interesting Battery Icon
Samsung One UI 7 introduced changes to the user interface such as the new battery icon. This graphical upgrade reflects a new approach toward the looks and feel of the One UI software skin. It also makes the UI interactive with an interaction that’s related to the battery and power backup. Samsung One UI 7 has the most interesting Battery Icon.
Thanks to new software adjustments, Samsung achieved new results within the battery region. The One UI 7 brings a horizontal battery icon, going separate ways from the vertical placement in the previous software version.
The new icon is clean and improves the visibility of the battery indicator. Not only looks but its dynamic behavior is based on the battery’s health and charging status.
That seems like a good introduction and it’s time that we jump to some specific stuff.
What’s changed?
The new icon lies horizontally in the taskbar and the percentage text appears inside the icon instead of on the left side.
The icon has a power level that fills and reduces (or increases) from left to right compared to One UI 6 and prior releases.
The battery icon has a few elements that provide a distinct and interesting look, check the image below.
Dynamic expansion
That’s right, the icon will adopt a new appearance when you enable power saving or connect a charging cable. A power-saving icon will be added on the left side of the icon with a slight expansion in the width when you have the percentage text enabled.
You will see a charging icon on the left after connecting a charger. These are the next level of customizations that Samsung has brought with this software.
Without percent text
If you don’t have the battery percentage enabled, the power saving mode and charging icon will appear in the center of the icon.
Low-power
The icon goes red when the power level goes below 20, warning the user to connect the charger but it looks better than before.
Charging
The story doesn’t end here, Samsung has a new charging animation. When you plug in the charger, the system will trigger two new animations.
The task will have a live notification added to the battery icon and the bottom of the screen will have a Now Bar style charging animation, which looks way better than One UI 6.
There are other scenarios that could trigger the battery icon to change its internal and external shape such as protection mode.
