Samsung Galaxy S25 series is set to feature a much-needed RAM and memory boost. We’ve heard the Galaxy S25 Ultra is upgrading RAM to 16GB. Now, a rumor suggests the Samsung Galaxy S25 base model is also getting a bold memory upgrade.

According to AbhishekYadav, Samsung Galaxy S25 will come with 12GB of RAM. The company may not ship the 8GB RAM variant, making the 12GB the base. Besides, the storage part is also getting doubled from 128GB to 256GB.

Simply put, the cheapest Galaxy S25 will come with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Previous flagships start with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, while Samsung brings exciting offers such as free double storage.

The latest rumor brings the Galaxy S25 close to the Galaxy S25 Plus. Both models will have the same RAM and storage. The S25 Ultra is said to feature 12GB RAM and 256GB storage alongside 16GB RAM and 512GB and 1TB memory.

Samsung’s move aligns with Google which upgraded RAM on Pixel 9 series. The new phones come with AI capabilities and Gemini Nano included. Hence, there’s a requirement for higher RAM and more storage for AI tasks.

12GB RAM is a cool configuration for Samsung’s flagship phones. Higher RAM will unlock faster and more reliable generative AI processing. Galaxy AI features would also function smoother and faster with increased RAM and memory.

Samsung is raising the memory configuration mark on the Galaxy S25 series. Early rumors suggest static prices in European countries. It remains to be seen if Samsung will keep the pricing intact or hike in favor of higher memory and faster SoC.

The Galaxy Unpacked could be held in late January next year. A recently leaked teaser suggests the event may take place on January 22 in the US. Samsung will also unveil One UI innovations and potential roadmap at the event.
