At CES 2025, Samsung will launch new refrigerators with an advanced AI Hybrid Cooling system. Today, the company announced the expansion of this technology into global markets next year. This smart technology combines artificial intelligence with innovative cooling to save energy, keep food fresh longer, and offer more space inside the fridge.

The AI Hybrid Cooling system uses two cooling methods. It combines a high-efficiency compressor with a Peltier module, a device that cools by using electric currents. When the fridge needs extra cooling, like after putting in a lot of food or during hot weather, both the compressor and the Peltier module work together.

Usually, the fridge only uses the compressor to save energy. The AI system also monitors the fridge and adjusts the cooling to match the temperature needs to ensure ensuring the fridge runs as efficiently as possible.

The new technology also helps keep food fresher for a longer time. By reducing temperature changes inside the fridge, especially during the defrosting process, food stays fresh longer. Tests show that fresh food like pork and salmon can last up to 1.4 times and 1.2 times longer, respectively, when the Hybrid Precise Colling is turned on.

Moreover, with the Peltier module instead of traditional heating parts, Samsung added 25 extra liters of space inside the fridge without changing its size. The shelves are now deeper, and the fridge can hold up to 240 beverage cans, which is 24 more than older models.

Samsung’s new refrigerators with AI Hybrid Cooling technology will debut at CES 2025. It will offer smarter, more efficient cooling, better food preservation, and user-centric design for modern homes.
