Samsung Messages is the latest app to update amid One UI 7 buzz
Samsung is working to expand the availability of the One UI 7 Beta update to more Galaxy devices, although it is currently only available for the Galaxy S24 series. At the same time, the company continues to update its Samsung Messages app amid the One UI 7 buzz.
The new update for the Samsung Messages app arrives with version 14.5.44.3. It brings improvements to various functions and fixes some issues to enhance the overall messaging experience.
It’s important to note that this update is not for Android 15 or Android 14-based Galaxy devices, but rather for those running Android 13. According to the update notes, the update has been spotted on the Galaxy S20 series, which is currently using Android 13.
Launched in 2020 with Android 10, the Galaxy S20 series has already received its promised three years of Android updates. These devices are not eligible for Android 14-based One UI 6.0 or any future updates. In April 2024, they moved from a monthly update plan to a quarterly one.
Despite not receiving new features, the Galaxy S20 series continues to perform well. The latest Samsung Messages update for Android 13 devices shows the company’s commitment to improving app functionality for older models. This update may eventually reach more Galaxy devices running Android 13.
To install the Samsung Messages update, navigate to the Galaxy Store >> Menu >> Updates. Also, you can download the update from a third-party link, although we recommend waiting for the official release.
