WhatsApp recently introduced a business platform connection feature and AI-powered replies to enhance customer service and streamline business operations. Now, WhatsApp is testing a new feature with the fresh beta update, which allows users to mention entire group chats in their status updates.

The new feature lets users mention up to five groups in a single status update. When a group is mentioned, all participants in that group will receive a notification about the update. This helps users quickly share important information with everyone in the group, saving time and effort.

Additionally, even if someone isn’t included in the status update’s privacy settings, they will still be able to view the update if their group is mentioned. This ensures that everyone in the group is notified about the update, even if they don’t normally see the user’s status updates.

Users who are mentioned in the status can also share it with their own contacts to spread the message further. However, the person who created the status will remain anonymous when the update is shared by others.

This feature is currently available to some WhatsApp beta users who have installed the latest update version 2.24.26.17 from the Google Play Store. It is expected to be rolled out to more users over the coming weeks.
