Samsung is set to unveil the Galaxy S25 series at Unpacked 2025 on January 22. The recently leaked teaser not only revealed the launch date but also sparked a controversy on the number of Galaxy S25 models that are headed for the Unpacked.

The company has been introducing three flagship models in its Galaxy S line since 2020. Fan Edition of ‘almost’ each lineup had also landed within a year, taking the number of models to four in the flagship range.

This year, Samsung has been developing an additional variant of the Galaxy S25 series. Rumors say the company is planning to launch a thinner model. It will rival Apple’s forthcoming iPhone 17 Air, featuring the slimmest design on iPhone yet.

Many certifications and evidence regarding the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra floated online. Samsung’s SM-S937x has also surfaced once in the GSM listing, suggesting a fourth model in the upcoming Galaxy S25 series.

A debate has started as soon as the Samsung Unpacked promo has appeared online. The image shows four corners, hinting at four models or else just two models from their two sides – camera rings and front side.

But the teaser indeed aligns with the rumors we’ve heard in the past. An additional S25 model is coming with a thinner design and flagship specs. The launch timeframe is Q2 and a more detailed teaser may be released next month.

It was recently revealed that the Galaxy S25 Slim could sport a 6.7-inch screen. In addition, it was also rumored that the model could use a 200MP camera sensor. Dimensions remain to be known but the thickness will be lesser than the vanilla S25.

As we conclude, Samsung Unpacked 2025 is going to be exciting as the long-awaited Galaxy S25 series is coming. If S25 Slim is in the pipeline, the company should confirm its potential arrival unlike the Galaxy Z Fold SE way.
