Samsung will launch AI-powered screen home appliances at CES 2025
Samsung is going to launch a new range of home appliances equipped with the ‘AI Home’ solution at CES 2025, starting on January 7 in Las Vegas.
The ‘AI Home’ system for Samsung’s screen-equipped appliances offers users the ability to remotely monitor and control their devices via a touchscreen interface. It aims to enhance connectivity through Samsung’s SmartThings platform.
The newly introduced products under the ‘Screens Everywhere’ vision include the Bespoke refrigerator with a 9-inch touchscreen, and the Bespoke washing machine and dryer, each featuring a 7-inch touchscreen. These appliances offer a seamless and interactive experience to allow users to easily control home devices, adjust settings, and view appliance statuses from a single screen.
These smart appliances feature a “Map View,” which provides an overview of all connected devices in the home, allowing users to manage them from a single interface. In the future, this functionality will extend to adjusting appliance modes, temperatures, and more. The system also incorporates Bixby, Samsung’s AI voice assistant.
Additionally, the Bespoke refrigerator with a 9-inch touchscreen will function as a SmartThings hub, allowing users to control other smart home devices like locks, lights, and curtains without needing a separate hub.
Samsung’s AI-powered appliances will reduce the burden of household tasks while offering a personalized, interconnected experience. The new products are ready for release in the first half of 2025.
