iPhone users eye Samsung for AI features: 1 in 6 ready to switch
Galaxy AI would make some Apple iPhone users switch to Samsung. While a majority of smartphone owners pay no value to AI features, more iPhone users would switch to Samsung than switch from Samsung to Apple.
Recently, SellCell surveyed 2,000 people in the US – 1,000 iOS users and 1,000 Android users. The people were asked about their feedback on AI features. The responses may lead Samsung, and Apple to rethink their AI strategy. The results:
- 73 percent of iPhone users say they add little to no value
- 87 percent of Galaxy owners say they add little to no value
Galaxy AI is far ahead of Apple Intelligence in terms of accessibility and availability. Apple is gradually growing its AI feature suite on iPhone models. Samsung is also on the same path, but the pace is significantly faster than Apple.
Meanwhile, 58% of iPhone users and 53% of Samsung users haven’t gotten down to using AI features yet. Those who have tried AI features praised writing tools and notification summaries as the most useful additions.
AI is growing rapidly but the way consumer use their phones won’t change much faster. OS-level integration of AI features could make things better. When asked about switch for better AI features, Samsung’s Galaxy AI nailed it. The results:
- 16.8% or 1 in 6 iPhone users said that they would consider getting a Samsung phone for better AI features
- 9.7% of Samsung users would think about switching to iOS.
It has been seen that Apple has a higher brand loyalty than its rivals. However, the brand’s consumer loyalty has decreased significantly in the past few years, while Samsung is managing to marginally gain its loyal fanbase.
