Samsung Care+ Screen Replacement

Samsung is upgrading the “Care+ with Theft and Loss” subscription perks for Galaxy users in the US. Starting January 2025, Galaxy users having Samsung Care+ membership will get free screen replacement, which currently costs $29.

Members of Samsung Care+ subscription are receiving an email, stating the upcoming upgrade of free screen replacement in the US. Your existing plan will be upgraded with free screen replacement perk on January 15, 2025.

At present, Samsung charges $29 for cracked screen repairs despite the Care+ subscription. The new Zero Dollar Screen Repairs is a noteworthy decision, which is set to take place right before the Galaxy S25 series launch.

The email notes that the front screen and back glass will be covered under the plan. It seems the internal screen of foldable phones may still be a paid repair. Samsung should clear the clouds of uncertainties regarding eligibility.

Do note that the free screen replacement is only available for “Care+ with Theft and Loss” buyers. It is a slightly costlier variant of the regular Care+ plan. It is an expensive option that usually doesn’t offer pre-reservation or pre-order benefits.

Samsung’s decision is set to raise sales of Care+ subscriptions with the upcoming phones. With assured free screen replacement, Galaxy S25 series users will not only add Care+ while buying but also upgrade after the plan expiry.

Apple Care+ is a massive service for its ecosystem devices. Now, Samsung is narrowing the gap by providing screen replacement support. US residents are getting email confirmation, with global consumers should also be treated the same way.

Samsung explains in an email to Care+ subscribers:

Effective January 15, 2025, Samsung and Samsung Care+ with Theft and Loss will be introducing ZERO DOLLAR SCREEN REPAIRS. This coverage will apply to damages that impact the front screen and back glass only. In addition to Mail-In Repair and Walk-In Repair options, Care+ customers will continue to have the option of screen repair at their location of choice.

Care+ customers with eligible plans* will automatically be eligible for this coverage after January 15, 2025.
