One UI 7 Beta 2 starts rolling out to Samsung Galaxy S24, S24 Plus, and S24 Ultra. The latest firmware is expanding across Germany, South Korea, the UK, and the US (unlocked U1). The second Beta can be identified via the PDA build version ending with ZXL5.

Samsung Galaxy S24 family’s One UI 7 Beta 2 update aims to polish your user experience by fixing bugs and enhancing how your device operates. You can expect a more seamless functioning and reliable experience on your Galaxy.

The One UI 7 Beta 2 includes general improvements for display and app visuals. The firmware also addresses connectivity and functionality bugs causing problems in wireless connection and widget transparency.

Performance enhancements are also included for app switching, Edge Panel, battery efficiency, and location sensor accuracy. On the UI part, the Quick Panel errors have been addressed and Game Booster added a refresh rate selection feature.

Exploring what’s new

General Improvements:

Reduced Display Errors:

The annoying glitch where the Now Bar wouldn’t go away after you closed it has been fixed. Now, when you close the Now Bar, it stays closed until you call it back.

App Visuals:

There was a small issue with how apps in the personal drawer were shown, which has now been sorted out. Everything should look as it should.

Connectivity and Functionality:

Wireless Connection:

If you were having trouble connecting your phone to some TV models using Dex, that’s been fixed. You should now enjoy a smoother wireless experience.

Widget Transparency:

The Reminder widget wasn’t playing nice with transparency settings before. Now, you’ll need to update the app to see the transparency effects properly.

Performance Enhancements:

App Switching:

Switching between apps on the recent screen should feel faster and smoother now. No more waiting around!

Edge Panel:

If you’re using the edge panel for smart select, you’ll notice that it’s quicker to get into now.

Power Saving:

There was an issue where switching to power saving mode might reset some settings; this has been improved.

GPS Accuracy:

GPS functionality has been enhanced, which means better location tracking for when you’re navigating or using location-based services.

User Interface and Control:

Quick Panel:

The Quick Panel, where you access quick settings, should work without errors now.

Game Booster:

You can now set your screen’s refresh rate within the Game Booster settings, giving you smoother gameplay or better battery life depending on your preference.

Call and Messaging:

Call and SMS Stability:

Problems with calls dropping or the Samsung Messages app crashing have been addressed. Your communication should be more reliable now.
