Samsung The Premiere 8K 8KA Certification

Samsung “The Premiere 8K” has become the world’s first projector to receive standard certification from the 8K Association. The certification criteria include key elements influencing the viewing experience, such as 8K resolution, HDR support, color gamut, contrast ratio, upscaling, and immersive audio.

The Samsung Premiere 8K excelled in all evaluation categories of 8K Association and proved its outstanding performance. This projector is also the world’s first to support 8K wireless connectivity, offering enhanced convenience.

Its ultra-short throw technology, which uses aspheric mirrors, enables large-screen projection from a short distance without the need for additional installation or shelf space. Some of the most highlighted features of The Premiere 8K are as follows:

  • Brightness of up to 4,500 ISO lumens
  • Sound-on-Screen technology

The Sound-on-Screen technology used in Samsung’s The Premiere 8K makes it feel as if sound is coming directly from the screen, delivering an incredibly immersive experience.

“The Premiere 8K receiving the industry’s first 8KA certification is a major milestone as it officially demonstrates the new potential of projector technology,” said Taeyoung Son, Executive Vice President of Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics. “We are committed to expanding the 8K ecosystem by continuously and extensively integrating new technologies.”
