Samsung‘s One UI 7 update brings several changes to the AR Zone, with one of the most noticeable being the renaming of AR Emoji to Galaxy Avatar. This new name also comes with a fresh design and more customization options to give users new ways to express themselves.

A recent update to the Samsung AR Emoji app, available with version 9.0.00.15, changes the app’s name to Galaxy Avatar on Galaxy devices. This update is live for Galaxy devices running Android 15-based One UI 7. It means that the Galaxy S24 series users can currently enjoy this feature.

If you’re using the latest beta version, you can find Galaxy Avatar in your Settings under Advanced Features. It is also available for download with a package size of around 70MB, through a third-party app link mentioned here.

Aside from this, Samsung has also made other changes to the AR Zone feature with One UI 7. The company has separated some of the AR features you’ve used in the past. The AR Doodle, Quick Measure, and Deco Pic features will no longer be part of AR Zone.

These features are not removed from your Galaxy devices, as they will become individual apps that you can download from the Samsung Galaxy Store. This gives users more flexibility to download and use only the features they need.

If you’re using the beta version on your Galaxy phone, you can explore the updated camera layout and the new Galaxy Avatar feature. This update brings more personalization and customization options to upgrade your experience to the next level.
