Samsung One UI 7 features

Samsung has unveiled One UI 7 with the Now Bar feature, a highly anticipated and brand-new capability that allows you to check essential information from the lock screen.

Now Bar sits at the bottom between the left and right shortcuts. It highlights relevant activities across various features including Translate, Music, Recording, Stopwatch, and more.

These Now Bar widgets have interactive elements including buttons and visualizations based on their key features. For example, the Music notification will show you the play/pause, next, and prev buttons.

In that case, you can tap on the top of the Music app Now bar to turn into a fledge widget. The animation improves the viewing experience throughout these interactions.

Samsung has transitioned from experience UI to One UI to improve reachability and one-hand operations. The company has made many improvements with each One UI version tailored for different screen sizes.

Besides providing instant access to important notifications, Now Bar also supports this one-hand operation theory with an easy-to-tap bottom position.

Now Bar is available with the latest One UI 7 beta activity for Samsung Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra. The feature will be available for all eligible Galaxy devices with stable release. It will also support the upcoming Galaxy S25 lineup.

Samsung also confirmed new improvements to Now Bar with upcoming One UI 7 releases but specifics are now unveiled at the moment.
