Samsung launches Hope Bridge center to empower youth
Samsung announced that it’s opening the “Stepping Stones of Hope Bridge” Chungbuk Center. It aims to support youth preparing for independence from the financial aspect. It provides independent living spaces and experiential rooms for youth aged 15 to 18.
According to the info, Samsung Stepping Stones of Hope offers housing, daily life skills training, financial education, career counseling, and job placement services. The company has also launched the “Hope Bridge 2.0” which offers vocational training in various fields.
Hope Bridge Chungbuk Center
It has 15 independent living rooms, 5 independent experience rooms, and educational operation spaces. Samsung revealed that the operation of the Chungbuk Center will be managed by the Chungbuk Child Welfare Association.
Youth aged 18 and above can live in the independent living rooms for up to two years, each with their own room. Teenagers aged 15 to 18 can also stay in the independent experience rooms for a few days to experience life preparing for independence.
Youth receive support in daily life skills such as cooking, cleaning, and organizing as well as basic economic education, including financial literacy and asset management, career counseling, and job placement services.
Samsung Hope Bridge 2.0
Last August, Samsung launched “Samsung Hope Bridge 2.0.” It supports economic independence through vocational training and job placement services. Hope Bridge 2.0 offers a total of nine training courses, including those in:
- Electronics/IT Manufacturing
- Shipbuilding
- IT services
- Bakery
- Semiconductor precision piping
- Online advertising/public relations
- Heavy equipment operation
- Pet grooming and nail art.
