SetsunaDigital of Weibo revealed the material cost of the Galaxy S25 Ultra, which points to a potential price hike. The tipster claims that the material cost of the S25 Ultra has increased by over $110 compared to its predecessor.
Snapdragon 8 Elite may be the most expensive component in the S25 series. As the display panels do not see an upgrade, the costs may remain the same. The 50MP ultrawide camera may also increase the camera module cost of the S25 Ultra.
An increase in material cost would force Samsung to raise the final pricing accordingly. However, it’s up to the company to make a final call over the pricing. Apple has frozen the iPhone 16 price, making it difficult for Samsung to consider a hike.
