Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra

Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra price may not increase and Apple to be thanked. A lot of rumors indicated a 10 to 12% price hike in the next Galaxy flagships. There are many sensible factors in support of the rumors, but it may not be happening though.

Leaker Jukanlosreve claimed (now deleted) that Samsung may not increase the Galaxy S25, S25 Plus, and S25 Ultra price. It is highlighted that Apple’s price freeze for the iPhone 16 series has made a significant impact on Samsung’s strategy.

Galaxy S25 series price may be as follows

Galaxy S25

  • Samsung’s next small flagship may start at $799 for 12GB RAM and 128GB storage. There will be a 256GB model which could be priced around $859 for the carrier-unlocked model.

Galaxy S25 Plus

  • The S25 Plus may also be available in two different memory variants with 12GB of RAM. The base 256GB could cost $999 while the 512GB model could have a price tag of $1119.

Galaxy S25 Ultra

  • Galaxy S25 Ultra with 12GB RAM could start at $1299 for 256GB storage. The 512GB model could be priced at $1419 while the 16GB + 1TB online model could cost $1659.

Early purchase benefits likely

Samsung will offer various benefits for early buyers. Pre-reservation and pre-order consumers will get enhanced trade-in credit, up to free $50 Samsung Credit, and free double storage.

US residents could also get freebies such as Galaxy Watch or Galaxy Buds with some terms. The offers and benefits solely depend on the official offerings of the phone maker or retailer.

Galaxy S25 Release Date

Samsung may hold the Galaxy Unpacked event on January 22 in the US. The company may introduce the Galaxy S25 series and 4th variant – Galaxy S25 Slim at the event.

However, it’s important to note that these pricing and release info are just rumors at this point. Nothing is official yet. Well, we will keep you updated as more details emerge.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Z Flip 6

Samsung will begin 2025 with the unveiling of the Galaxy S25 series. In the second half, the company will introduce next-generation foldables. A source suggests that the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Z Fold 7 may increase with new display upgrades.

Display supply chain insider Ross Young shared crucial display info about the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Z Fold 7. Both upcoming foldables could get new display upgrades, with the Z Flip 7 matching the Motorola Razr’s cover display lead next year.

Galaxy Z Flip 7

The Galaxy Z Flip 7 may get a larger cover and inner display than the Z Flip 6. The main screen could measure around 6.85 inches, while the cover panel could be 4 inches.

This year’s Flip smartphone has a 6.7-inch primary display and a 3.4-inch cover screen. The cover panel is not entirely rectangular due to the two camera rings on the back panel.

An increment from 6.7″ to 6.85″ will make a positive impact on the usability. The outer panel will go larger, offering even more space to use the device without unfolding.

Galaxy Z Fold 7

Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 7 could also get an upgraded cover and inner screens. The source revealed that next year’s Z Fold model may have the same display as the Z Fold Special Edition.

The Galaxy Z Fold SE is a pretty major upgrade over the regular Galaxy Z Fold 6. It has a main display of 8 inches, while the outer display measures 6.5 inches.

With the Galaxy Z Fold 6, Samsung significantly improved the usability of the outer screen. However, the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition brought the one that users have demanded for long.

Internal components have started to appear, but, the official launch could only happen in 2025. It is expected that the Unpacked event could be held in late January next year, with shipments starting in early February.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra price hike may be surpassed by S26 Ultra

Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra Dummy

Samsung is preparing to introduce the Galaxy S25 series early next year. The Galaxy S26 series could be launched in early 2026, and Samsung may be unable to freeze the Ultra model’s price due to the next Qualcomm chip.

According to Jukanlosreve, Qualcomm may increase the price of the Snapdragon 8 Elite successor. The company recently launched the new Snapdragon chip fabricated using a 3 nm process which is expected to power the Galaxy S25 Ultra.

The leaker suggests that the next-gen Snapdragon 8 Elite may get a significant price increase. This would force Samsung to increase the price of the Galaxy S26 Ultra.

Qualcomm has also raised the Snapdragon 8 Elite price, significantly, compared to the 8 Gen 3. However, the price increment offers exceptional outcomes – robust performance and efficiency.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra is rumored to be priced $100 higher than the S24 Ultra. If the rumor materializes, the S25 Ultra may start at $1399 – a full $200 costlier than the iPhone 16 Pro Max.

Why Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 may be pricier?

Qualcomm invests a massive fund in research and development. This year marks the debut of its in-house Oryon CPU cores. The fabrication process also impacts the overall pricing, as the shift to 3nm already boosted the price significantly.

Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 may be produced using the 3nm process, but “various internal and external factors” may lead to a significant price hike. It is said that Qualcomm has sent notifications to suppliers and negotiations have begun.

Given Qualcomm’s price hike, suppliers of related components may also desire to make increased profits. Either supplier would also raise the prices of components or Qualcomm’s negotiations may freeze the costs of components – at best.

At present, we are awaiting the Galaxy S25 Ultra launch which could happen in late January next year. We are over a year away from the tentative unveiling of the Galaxy S26 Ultra, hence, it’s advised to take this info as a pinch of salt.
