WhatsApp is rolling out a new update for beta testers with version 2.24.24.16, which brings new shortcuts to the chat interface. This update introduces a gallery shortcut to make it easier to share photos and videos from your phone directly within chats.

WhatsApp recently replaced the camera shortcut in the chat bar with a gallery button for beta users. While this change allowed users to quickly share stored photos and videos, many users missed the camera shortcut, which gave them fast access to the camera for capturing moments on the spot.

Based on feedback, WhatsApp has decided to bring back both shortcuts in the chat bar. Now, users will see two buttons in the chat interface – one for quickly taking a photo or video using the camera and another for browsing and sharing photos or videos from their gallery.

These two shortcuts for the chat interface of WhatsApp make it quicker to share photos or capture new ones, without having to navigate through extra menus.

This feature is still in beta, so it’s available to only some testers right now. The feature will gradually be rolled out to more users in the coming weeks

WhatsApp is collecting feedback to see if the new dual shortcut setup improves the experience or if it feels cluttered. If you are testing beta on WhatsApp, install the latest version now.

WhatsApp Updated Tab

WhatsApp introduces a simpler way to create both status updates and channel posts from the same section in the app with a new beta update. The update is available with version 2.24.26.13 on the Google Play Beta Program.

The fresh beta update brings the redesigned “Updates” tab. WhatsApp now lets users create status updates and channel posts from the same place. There are new shortcuts that make it faster to upload photos and videos directly from your gallery as a status update.

In addition, you can create text-based status updates or record and share voice updates with just a few taps. The update also improves the floating action button, which now lets users do more with one click.

All these options are now in one place for easier to share content. This new design makes everything more accessible and reduces the number of steps needed to share content.

This feature is currently available to beta testers who have updated to WhatsApp version 2.24.26.13. WhatsApp plans to roll out this feature to more users in the coming days or weeks.

WhatsApp is continuously enhancing its user experience by adding new features and enhancements. Now, a fresh WhatsApp beta update introduces a new in-app call dialer that is currently available to some beta testers. This beta update arrives with version 2.24.26.11 on the Google Play Beta Program.

The fresh update moves the call dialer from the floating action button within the calls tab to a more accessible location in the menu. Users can now find the “Call a number” option in the menu, which allows them to dial phone numbers directly without having to save them in their address book.

The new call dialer of WhatsApp not only simplifies the process but also cleans up the calls tab, making it less cluttered. Previously, WhatsApp introduced a floating action button for the call dialer.

WhatsApp new feature

WhatsApp is testing a new feature with the latest beta update version 2.24.26.9, which will allow users to translate chat messages and channel updates. This feature is currently under development and will be available for beta users soon.

The new translation feature will let users automatically translate all incoming messages or choose to translate specific messages individually. This will help users better understand messages written in different languages to make it easier to communicate with people from around the world.

Notably, the message translations will happen directly on your device, without sending any data to third-party services. This means WhatsApp can maintain its end-to-end encryption to ensure privacy.

The translation feature will also work offline. For that, users can download language packs in advance to allow them to translate messages even when they don’t have an internet connection.

Through this feature, WhatsApp plans to make the translation process quick and simple. But you can’t use WhatsApp fucntions without the internet like sending or receiving messages, watching status, and more. Still, you will soon be able to translate received messages offline.

However, keep in mind that the translations might not always be perfect, as they will be processed offline and may have occasional errors.  Stay tuned for more updates.
