Samsung Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra getting November 2024 security update in the US
After the Galaxy Tab S7 FE, Samsung has started releasing the November 2024 security update for the latest Galaxy S series, the Galaxy S24. The update is available for locked models on the Verizon network carrier in the US.
The fresh update provides the most up-to-date Android security patch on your device to improve performance. It fixes several issues to make your Galaxy S24 more stable, reliable, and secure.
Samsung Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 Plus, and Galaxy S24 Ultra models are receiving the November 2024 security update in the US with One UI builds S921USQS4AXJA, S926USQS4AXJA, and S928USQS4AXJA. The company will soon expand it to unlocked models.
It is an initial rollout so it may take some hours or days to reach all models. Currently, it is limited to users in the US, and in other countries, users will receive it in the coming days to weeks.
November 2024 security patch details aren’t available yet, but they should be posted on the Samsung support page soon. In the meantime, users can install the latest update and check out fresh enhancements.
To install the update, you just need to visit Settings >> tap on Software Update >> Download and install. Now, follow the on-screen instructions to install the update on your smartphone.
Before downloading the update, make sure to connect to Wi-Fi or have a strong Verizon signal, and ensure your battery is fully charged.
Aside from this, Samsung Galaxy S24 series models are currently running Android 14-based One UI 6.1.1. Users are looking forward to trying One UI 7 features, which Samsung plans to release as a beta for developers in late 2024. It will be available for Galaxy S24 users soon after.

Samsung rolls out the December 2024 security update for Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition via One UI build version F958NKSS2AXKC. Users will have to download around 400MB package to install the update.

Users can check new software updates manually with a handful of simple steps. Firstly, visit your Galaxy device’s “System Settings,” once done, scroll down and tap the “Software update” tab, followed by the “Download and install” button.
