Huawei’s most powerful Galaxy S25 rival arrives this November
Huawei confirmed its most powerful Mate launches this November. Huawei is set to unveil the Mate 70 series in mainland China, but it could also be available in certain countries in Southeast Asia and Europe.
Samsung lost its foldable dominance to Huawei in the global market. Strong sales in China and intense competition from Chinese brands helped Huawei dominate the market. However, it’s difficult for Huawei to repeat it in the flagship market.
Huawei’s Yu Chengdong confirmed the new Mate lineup arriving this month. It will be the most powerful Mate from the smartphone manufacturer. The phones will also be loaded with the Android-less HarmonyOS NEXT.
Huawei teases Mate 70 series
The most powerful Mate ever! See you in November!
The handset’s launching this month, but the exact date remains unknown. Recent leaks point to a mid-November debut for the Mate 70 series in China. Leaked inputs indicate some stunning technological innovations to look at.
The Mate 70 series is rumored to feature a similar camera design but with additional laser sensors. The conventional fingerprint solution may also be replaced with an advanced ultrasonic fingerprint scanner for faster and more reliable authentication.
Snapdragon 8 Elite is impossible due to US restrictions on Huawei. Therefore, the Mate 70 will be equipped with Huawei’s in-house Kirin chipset, which could offer better performance and power efficiency than the Pura 70’s chip.
In addition, the next-gen Huawei flagships could pack silicon-anode batteries. The 50-megapixel sensor will also be supported by variable aperture. HarmonyOS NEXT is the biggest reason I am, personally, excited about the Mate 70 series.
Weibo’s DCS on Mate 70 Series
As mentioned in September, the Huawei Mate70 series will be launched in November, “the most powerful Mate in history.” What are you looking forward to? A new processor that is more energy efficient? 50Mp ultra-large variable aperture domestically produced ultra-large bottom? High density silicon cells? New fingerprint unlocking solution and active face? Pure-blooded Hongment system?
Huawei’s Mate 70 series will rival the Galaxy S25 series in certain markets. Samsung has negligible acceptance in the Chinese market. And the lack of Android and GMS makes it a far better purchase than any Huawei device.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra hits NBTC following camera specs leak
Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra has been spotted on the NBTC certification database. The smartphone has just entered the production phase, and the launch is likely in late January.
NBTC database listed (via mysmartprice) Samsung SM-S938B/DS, confirming the Galaxy S25 Ultra. The “DS” in the model number suggests that the phone will support dual SIM functionality.
The model has also got approval from Thailand’s NBTC authority. That said, the handset is allowed to be sold in the country after the official debut, which is due by the end of January next year.
NBTC certification doesn’t reveal any exciting information about the device. It is just a necessary procedure that must be followed before bringing the product to the market.
A recent leak suggests that the Galaxy S25 series might be unveiled on January 22, 2025. The lineup will have a total of three models, including, base, Plus and Ultra.
Galaxy S25 Ultra Main Camera Leak
Recently, Camera FV-5 listed the S25 Ultra’s primary camera specs. The device is set to level up its camera capabilities leveraging the new processor, enhanced hardware, and optimized software.

Leak: Samsung starts production of Galaxy S25 series ahead of launch
It seems Samsung has already started mass production of the Galaxy S25 series. The company is rumored to introduce the new flagships in late January next year, and the lineup’s specs and features have reportedly been finalized.
Leaker kro_roe claims that Samsung has started the production of the Galaxy S25 series. The commencement of production suggests that the specs and features have been finalized before entering the final phase of development.
Recently, Samsung’s revised production plan for 2025 has been leaked. The company has trimmed down overall production but increased the Galaxy S25 series’s production estimation – indicating at its ambitions to ramp up flagship sales.
Once mass production begins, Samsung typically takes about 1-2 months to finalize the preparations for the release. This period includes quality checks, logistics, marketing campaigns, and setting up for the official Unpacked event.
For the Galaxy S25 series, if mass production has already started, an official release could be expected within 2-3 months, typically around early February, given that Samsung usually launches its flagship devices early in the year.
Samsung Galaxy S25 series – Key takeaways
The Korean tech giant may announce the Galaxy S25 series on January 22 in San Francisco. Korea’s FNNews, last month, revealed the company’s plans for launch date and event venue.
If the unveiling takes place in late January, you can expect the official release in early February. Pre-orders will begin on the same day of the Unpacked, following the pre-reservation closure.
Galaxy S25 Ultra is set to redefine Samsung’s flagship smartphone design approach. The next Ultra flagship will debut a refined design philosophy by turning the angular corners into rounded ones.
The screen will appear the same as the Galaxy S24 Ultra – flat. It’s a good decision to keep the display decision intact as curved edge panels are highly vulnerable to outer physical damage.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra Launch Date
Tipster AbhishekYadav through X (formerly Twitter) suggests that Samsung will introduce the Galaxy S25 series on January 22, 2025. However, the event may be considered on January 23 in South Korea due to different time zones.
India, the US, and most markets share the same launch date for Samsung events despite the time zone difference. The Unpacked may kick off early morning in the United States, while it could be nighttime in India.
Previous Inputs
Following the Korean outlet, leaker MaxJambor claimed that the Galaxy Unpacked might be held on January 22 in the US. It doesn’t mean the FNNews report was fake, but the date difference is due to the time zone in South Korea.
A month back, Korea’s FNNews reported that Samsung is considering holding an Unpacked event on January 23. Besides, San Francisco is the most preferred location by officials to hold the in-person launch event.
Galaxy Unpacked 2025 – What to expect
Samsung will indeed unveil the new Galaxy S25 series at Unpacked next year. The company is also expected to showcase a prototype of its XR Smart Glasses. A “Slim” model of the S25 series is also in the pipeline, which might be teased as well.
