Unlocked Galaxy S22 series getting October 2024 security update [US]
Samsung has rolled out the October 2024 security update for unlocked models of the Galaxy S22 series in the US, following the locked models. The update improves the overall performance by installing the latest Android security patch.
The fresh update arrives on unlocked models of the Galaxy S22 series with One UI build versions given below:
- Galaxy S22 – S901U1UES6EXJ1
- Galaxy S22 Plus – S906U1UES6EXJ1
- Galaxy S22 Ultra – S908U1UES6EXJ1
October 2024 security patch is rolling out with some important fixes from Google and Samsung. Google has patched 2 critical and 28 high-level issues, 1 was already resolved and 2 don’t apply to Galaxy devices.
On Samsung’s end, there are 12 fixes for vulnerabilities in system services and Knox. In addition, Samsung Semiconductor also added a fix to improve performance. Beyond security enhancements, the update also enhances stability and some functions to provide a better Galaxy experience.

Advanced Auto Blocker now available on Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 series
Samsung has released the November 2024 update for Galaxy Tab S10+ and Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra, which adds a new Auto Blocker feature. The update is now rolling out for users in South Korea after the release in the US.
With the November 2024 update, when Auto Blocker is enabled with Maximum restrictions on your Galaxy Tab S10 model, USB devices will be blocked from connecting to the tablet, except for charging purposes.
The Maximum Restrictions mode provides extra strong protection for people who need more security. Some of your phone’s features will be restricted. Other devices won’t be able to connect to your phone using a USB cable. It can prevent others from accessing your data if they have physical access to your phone.
Aside from this new feature, the November 2024 security patch fixes 52 vulnerabilities across Android and Samsung’s software. Google has resolved 38 high-priority issues, while one CVE is not relevant to Galaxy devices.
Moreover, Samsung’s patches include fixes for 13 vulnerabilities related to user profiles, Dex Mode, Galaxy Watch, Settings, and Maintenance Mode. These fixes aim to enhance both the security and performance of Galaxy devices.
Users of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 and Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra should install the update to enjoy this security feature. They can identify the latest update via the One UI build version X92xNKOS2AXJ7 and an installation package size of around 350MB.
To check the update, you just need to navigate to the device’s Settings, then a Software update, and Download and install. If you have received the update, install it now to get enhanced features.
